Another training camp for this year was the Oberhof in Germany, where we came especially for skiing in the tunnel, but neither run nor rollerski trainings were on the program ;-).
We traveled to Oberhof on Monday, 9th of October, in the composition of Jan Srail, Adam Fellner, Lukas Bauer and we also took Jan Pechousek – young athlete from Fenix SkiTeam Jesenik – with us. Ilya Chernousov was already there and we came with quite busy training plan to Oberhof.
The priority was skiing in the tunnel, mostly in medium intensity, but also one tough interval training in skating. The benefits of the tunnel were also felt thanks to the "traditional" Oberhof weather, which at this time represents foggy, from drizzle to rain, which we enjoyed during running or rollerski trainings.
Also these training sessions were planned in medium intensity, but we had also one tough interval training on rollerskis at the end of the Oberhof training camp. Everybody did training camp without problems, Jan was already in full training after an illness, because of which he had to skip Czech Championship on rollerskis (uphill race to Jested) and even Lukas jumped into trainings after a month without training, due borreliosis. He was technically and in medium intensities without problems, but in fast doublepoling was long break without training very visible, but Lukas fought and will soon get well also here as well.
Training camp succeeded and believe that we were leaving home properly tired and satisfied.
Now we will train individually. There will be team press-conference in Prague in the beginning of November, where the team and team goals for the season will be launched and 6th of November we will go to Lenzerheide, Switzerland, for our next training camp, what will be already on-snow training camp.
