After a short break we will be on the next VISMA SkiClassics race start tomorrow and it will be are Toblach-Cortina race.
Here, organizers struggled with a lack of snow, so that the original information was "shortened to 35 kilometers," but fortunately the weather got better and race will keep original length of 50 kilometers. Although the length will ultimately retained, but little changed course and we will start in the next valley in Prags just like last year. Sprint premie will be on 19.km at the ski stadium in Toblach and then track leads almost to Cortina, along the old railway track and race will finish in Fiames.
Our plan was to have four athletes from Team PIONEER Investments on the start, but we had to dropped out Jan Srail on the last moment, due some minor health problems. Jan was already getting into shape after Marcialonga, but caught a cold and light bronchi, then we decided to skipp the upcoming race. The very next weekend Jizerská 50 awaits us and want to be there in full strength ;-).
So you can keep your fingers crossed tomorrow for Ilya Chernousov, who skipped Marcialonga due sickness, but is already back ;-) ; Barbara Jezeršek who would want to build on very good results in previous races and for Jiri Harcuba, who is comming to Toblach for new experiances from VISMA SkiClassics races.
The race starts on Saturday, 2/11 at 9:30 and as always you can watch it LIVE on CT SPORT since 9:15 or VISMA SkiClassics PLAY channel.
